These terms govern your use of MyPensionPlan.lu. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. What MyPensionPlan.lu is

MyPensionPlan.lu is a free, English-first calculator for the Luxembourg statutory pension (CNAP). It also publishes editorial articles on pensions and cross-border careers. The site is published by Rogan Cowan (the Publisher); see the Legal notice.

A paid subscription tier may be offered in the future. Where a clause below applies only to the paid tier it says so; the rest applies to all users.

2. The calculator is information, not advice

The calculator produces an arithmetic estimate of your future CNAP pension under the legal framework in force at the time of calculation. It is informational only. It is not financial, tax, pension, or legal advice; it is not insurance distribution; it is not investment advice; it is not a personal recommendation. Your actual pension entitlement is determined by CNAP at the point of claim, on the basis of your real contribution record. Do not make irreversible personal-finance decisions on the basis of the calculator output alone; where appropriate, speak to a qualified adviser.

3. Your obligations

4. Availability and changes

The Publisher does not guarantee that the site will be available, error free, or up to date at all times. The CNAP formula, the parameters used by the calculator, and these terms may change. Where the change is material, the site banner will note it before it takes effect.

5. Liability

Free tier (default). To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Publisher accepts no liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of the calculator, the editorial content, or any other part of the site, including any decision you take or refrain from taking on the basis of the output. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under mandatory law (in particular gross negligence, wilful misconduct, and damage to life, body, or health).

Paid tier (when launched). The Publisher's aggregate liability to a paying user for any cause of action under or in connection with these terms is capped at the higher of (i) EUR 50 and (ii) the subscription fees paid by that user in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. The Publisher is not liable for indirect, consequential, or loss-of-profit claims, to the extent permitted by law. The mandatory-law carve-out above continues to apply.

6. Intellectual property

The site's content, design, and calculation engine belong to the Publisher (or to its contributors and licensors, where so noted). You may view, share, and link to pages for personal, non-commercial use. Any commercial reuse — including republication, training of machine learning systems on the editorial content, or redistribution of the calculation engine output — requires the Publisher's prior written consent.

7. Privacy

How we process personal data is set out in the Privacy notice, which forms part of these terms.

8. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the law of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country in which you are habitually resident. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these terms is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Luxembourg City, subject to EU consumers' right to bring proceedings at their own domicile.

9. Severability and assignment

If any clause of these terms is held unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remainder continues in full force. The Publisher may assign these terms in connection with the incorporation of the project or a subsequent corporate reorganisation; you may not assign your rights without consent.

10. Changes to these terms

The Publisher may update these terms. Material changes will be flagged in the site banner before they take effect. The "last updated" date at the top of this page tells you when the current version was issued. Your continued use of the site after a material change indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
